Nashville Food - The Twelve Thirty Club

Courtney and Ed were back in Nashville to move Courtney into college. We wanted to go all out for our last dinner together for a while. The Twelve Thirty Club located in the bustling downtown Nashville area was calling our names.

The first starter dish we ordered from their bread portion of the menu was their Buttermilk Focaccia & Pesto that includes smoky artichoke, basil, and a spicy Calabrian tomato dip. The focaccia bread was truly colossal and insanely fresh. The top layer was garnished with sea salt flakes. And the three spreads served with it were all great and allows for so many different great bites. The spice level of the Calabrian tomato dip was very low, but the flavor was strong. We actually loved mixing the three dips together for one perfect bite; the flavors complement each other tremendously.

The second bread we ordered was their Sweet Cream Cornbread with a pasilla streusel and salted honey butter. The sweet corn bread taste combined with the spice from the pasilla tasted like Southern flavor heaven. Ed said that was absolutely the best cornbread he's ever had. The texture was not at all dry and full of flavor!
Ed also tried their Short Rib Potstickers with toasted sesame, cilantro, and ponzu. Ed said these were perfection. The short rib flavor was out of this world. A delightful light appetizer. The ponzu dipping sauce had a citrus taste which was very refreshing.

Courtney ordered off of their seafood bar menu and got their Iced Maine Lobster with remoulade sauce. The claw meat was thick and was great to scoop up a ton of remoulade, but Courtney enjoys warm lobster tails more and probably would not order this again because it was not especially memorable compared to other menu items.

Ed order their 10 Oz Wagyu Ribeye Cap Steak. A direct quote from Ed, "I don't even know where to begin. Saying it was the best steak I've ever had would not be an understatement but also does a disservice to this wonderful dish because it's more than a steak. The Rib Cap is the most remarkable cut of beef for its unrivaled tenderness, tremendous flavor, and unctuous fatty deliciousness!!! I need a category higher than my standard "stupid good". If you have the chance and are a beef lover, please treat yourself to this!!!"

We are more than excited to comeback to The Twelve Thirty Club! Our server was so friendly and quick. Our dining experience was magically. We will be back to try their dessert menu!
