Kent Island Food - Bridges

We headed off to the beach and decided to stop on the way in Kent Island, Maryland to have dinner at Bridges Restaurant on the water. Their outside seating is simply gorgeous and the service we received was very quick.

We started our dining experience with their Bruschetta Roma that is served with marinated fresh tomatoes on toasted Italian bread with house pesto finished with fresh Parmesan and balsamic reduction. The bread was the perfect pillowy yet crispy top texture we love. The pesto flavor really shinned through and the tomatoes tasted quite fresh. The savory parmesan and seasoning paired with the sweet balsamic reduction beautifully.

We also ordered their Calamari that is seasoned, flour dusted, and flash fried with a jalapeño aioli and their famous sweet Thai vinaigrette. The calamari was thin and not at all chewy which is great but not super flavorful. It was definitely designed to be dipped in their sauces.

For Courtney’s entree she ordered their Mediterranean Seafood Bowl that included grilled shrimp and Mahi Mahi over quinoa salad dressed with white balsamic vinaigrette, romesco sauce, cucumber, tomatoes and red onions with grilled lemon. The bowl was extremely flavorful. The shrimp were a great size. The fish was the perfect flaky texture Courtney loves. This dish is perfect to leave you feeling very satisfied but still light!

Courtney and Ed are both always looking for a memorable crab cake so of course we needed to order one here in Maryland. Ed ordered their crab cakes with a fire-roasted tomato vinaigrette. These were straight bangin! They were seasoned well and just crispy enough on the outside. Overall really, really good and a great portion!

If you are on the Eastern Shore or driving to beaches on the East Coast, Bridges is a delicious place to stop for a delightful meal!!
