Battle of The Ice Creams Round 1

It is time to present our new series called The Battle of The Ice Creams where we compare similar ones from separate places to share which we believe is the best! Today's match up we have Rita's Italian Ice and Custard vs Jimmie Cone both from Maryland locations. 

First here from Rita's we have a vanilla custard in a cup with crumbled Oreo pieces on top. We were pretty underwhelmed by the amount of Oreo crumble they added on top. The preferred ratio is enough Oreo to be mixed into every bite and there was certainly not enough. To compare we also got a cup with rainbow sprinkles that was the same situation. With that being said, the overall taste of their custard is unbeatable. It has the perfect amount of sweetness, and the texture is unbelievably smooth. 

The competitor we have here from Jimmie Cone is a vanilla soft serve cup with rainbow sprinkles. Now their sprinkle game was right on the money. The sprinkles were even overflowing out of the sides which is exactly what we wanted to have to mix into every bite! Their texture was also delightfully smooth and creamy goodness. We would rate their flavor just slightly under Rita's flavor. 

This match was a tricky one because Rita's won in the flavor round, but Jimmie Cone dominated in the toppings round. Overall either place will have you feeling very happy and satisfied BUT the winning trophy goes to Jimmie Cone.
