Kent Island Food - Dock house

We were off to Ocean City, Maryland and decided to stop again in Kent Island to try another restaurant! We landed at the Dock House Restaurant for lunch right on the Chesapeake Bay.

We loved the presentation of the first starter dish that is their Crab Pretzel that was a pretzel twist covered in crab dip, cheddar cheese, scallions, and Old Bay seasoning. The scallions were the perfect garnish that added to the whole plate having delicious flavor. The crab lump portion was mouthwatering.

For Ed's entree he ordered their Lobster Roll that includes lobster salad in a buttered bread roll with a side house salad. The sandwich overall was fine but not Ed's favorite. The roll was one note, it lacked a crispy outer layer with a soft inner layer. The lobster salad was not the most flavorful we've had.

Courtney ordered their Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad. The salmon presentation was not great, and the seasoning flavor was not super strong. The croutons tasted and seemed store-bought that were extremely disappointing. With that being said, Courtney loved the shaved Parmesan and their Caesar dressing had great flavor and a nice consistency.

The Dock House is a fairly new restaurant that we believe has potential and room to improve.
