Ocean City, MD Food - Taphouse

Our hotel in Ocean City was right next to Taphouse on 45th Street so we headed right on over to give them a try! Their outside seating has a gorgeous view of the bay. 

A delicious side dish or appetizer you need to order here is their Black Garlic Truffle Fries that include fresh cut fries tossed in house made black garlic truffle seasoning. The garlic flavor was deliciously strong but not too strong in a way that would make you smell like garlic for the rest of the day! They were perfectly salted that will make you keep diving back in for more! 

 

Courtney ordered their Crab Toast that includes crostini topped with guacamole, lump crab, heirloom tomatoes, and paprika seasoning. The crostini were very crispy that provided a satisfying crunch with the soft guacamole and tomato on top. The crab seasoned with paprika made for the perfect bite! 

Ed ordered their Au Poivre Smashburger that includes two Angus smashed beef patties on top of arugula, shaved white onions, covered in muenster cheese, and cognac sauce. All served on a soft potato bun with a pickle on the side. If you love a dish full of sauce this burger is exactly what you need. The fresh arugula was a great green addition to make the burger very satisfying. 

 

Last but certainly not least, a super fun and unique appetizer to share with your table or order as a meal for yourself is their Tot-chos that involve crispy tater tots topped with shredded short rib or chicken, white cheddar truffle Yard Bird cheese sauce, pickled jalapeno, and Pico with sour cream on the side. Flavor will be bursting in your mouth with this dish! The tater tots were the perfect texture and stayed pretty crispy even with all the toppings. 

This restaurant is a great option for a casual beach trip dining experience.
