Ocean City, MD Food - Ristorante Antipasti

Our week in Ocean City, Maryland was ending quickly but we were ready to end the trip on a high note at Ristorante Antipasti. Get ready to enjoy some carbs!

Courtney ordered their Gamberoni alla Siciliana that includes jumbo shrimp, olive oil, garlic, white wine, and hot pepper. The dish is traditionally served over linguine pasta, but Courtney got their freshly made penne pasta. The pasta was cooked very al dente, but the penne kept the sauce in very well. The sauce seemed very light, and the white wine flavor was strong. The shrimp were not the best we've ever had but definitely still good quality.

Ed ordered their Rigatoni alla Pecoraia that includes crumbled Italian sausage with fresh tomato and saffron. This was his favorite dish of the night. Soooo goood!!! Perfectly al dente pasta and wonderful sausage flavor!

We also tried their Parmigiana Chicken that includes breaded chicken with provolone cheese and tomato sauce. Ed thought it was absolutely delicious which is not something he generally says about Italian food. Tender, crispy, melty and full of flavor. A big W!!

We also got to try two appetizers. The first dish was their Calamari Fritti served with marinara sauce. They tasted very seasoned which we liked. The breading was good, and it was the ratio we enjoy. Overall, these were simply good but not a memorable dish.

The last dish we tried was their Mozzarella in Carrozza that is lightly breaded pan-fried mozzarella cheese served in a light tomato sauce garnished with capers. The presentation was very unappetizing but of course we still tried it and were very surprised. The breaded mozzarella tasted very fresh and had great texture. The flavor from the sauce was amazing. We even started dipping the calamari in the pink sauce. This was our favorite appetizer; we just are not fans of the presentation of the dish.

Their staff was quite lovely which we always highly appreciate, and our overall dining experience was great.
