Maryland Food - Olde Town Restaurant

Today we went on an adventure to downtown Mount Airy, Maryland to visit a breakfast & lunch restaurant. We landed on Olde Town Restaurant and were very intrigued. The atmosphere is a very charming farmhouse setting that we loved.

Courtney ordered their Avocado Toast that includes sliced avocado on an English muffin topped with tomato, sunny side up eggs, and basil. Not too many restaurants serve avocado toast on an English muffin and Courtney loved it here. The avocado was the perfect texture, and the muffin left a delicious buttery after-taste. The eggs were not as runny as Courtney would have liked and needed more seasoning, but the tomato and basil were a delightful garnish.

Since Courtney tried a breakfast menu item, Ed wanted to order a dish from their lunch menu. He got their Hot Turkey plate that includes roasted turkey breast served on white bread topped with turkey gravy. He also got a side of their onion rings. The turkey was thick cut and cooked nicely. The bread was also pretty thick which made it a great vessel to soak up the extra gravy. The onion rings were battered which we like more than breaded. Ed was very satisfied with this dish.

We would both come back here and would be excited to try more items on their menu!
