Florida Food - Badfins Food + Brew

It was our second day in Clearwater and we started walking around wondering where to go for lunch. We stumbled upon Badfins and were ready to eat! They have solely outside seating and a super fun atmosphere.

The first dish we ordered was the lobster shrimp roll which was great! It had a wonderfully grilled traditional split top roll with a good amount of diced onion and bell pepper mixed in which we liked. The thin and crispy fries were great on the side. We think everyone should serve shoestring fries! We would totally go back for it again!

The next dish we ordered were the shrimp tacos with pineapple pico, Mexican crema, tido's slaw, and fresh lime and tomatillo salsa verde. The tomatillo salsa verde on the side was very spicy so you should defiantly try a little before you add a lot onto the tacos. The shrimp were dusted in Tajin and the pineapple pico made for a delightful savory and sweet combination. We also loved the blue corn tortillas that added even more color to the already very colorful presentation. These taste like summer time in a taco!

We also got a Mexican Caesar side salad which was super delicious and unique! This salad included cotija cheese, toasted pepitas, crispy tortilla strips, roma tomatoes, micro greens, and the original Gardini's Caesar salad dressing. The toasted pepitas are seeds that added a great crunch to the salad with a healthy overall feel. Tortilla strips can commonly be stale on salads but these ones were not at all. The cheese and the dressing tasted amazing together.

Badfins goes on the list of restaurants we would come back to in Florida!
