The perfect way to make a normal weekend special is to start the day off getting a comforting breakfast. We headed to Ted's Bulletin in Gaithersburg, Maryland to review some of their all day breakfast items.
The first thing our waiter recommended was their "Cinnamon Roll As Big As Ya Head." The icing was smooth and tasted like a sweet cream cheese frosting which we absolutely loved. It was very impressive when served. The dish is plenty for at least 4 people and maybe 6 plus. The roll was golden Brown, slightly crispy on the outside and wonderfully gooey in the middle. The icing was served on the side so each person could make their own perfect serving.
Ed ordered Biscuits And Sausage Gravy served with two eggs and hashbrowns. The gravy was flavorful and not too thick; not at all goopy. The shredded hash browns were crispy and golden brown. The two eggs were cooked perfectly which seems simple but perfectly cooked eggs are not the easiest thing to make.
Courtney ordered their new seasonal Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancakes topped with powdered sugar and blueberry syrup. In between the pancake layers and in the syrup there were real blueberries that added a delightful amount of freshness balanced with the powdered sugar. Courtney's only critique would be to add more lemon flavor because it was very subtle in this dish. Overall these pancakes are a tasty dish giving a satisfying spring/summer feel. She would order these again!
Ted's Bulletin is very consistent and we would recommend it to try!
